I am so excited about this new year. Even with all the negative stuff you see on the TV and in the news I have a huge amount of optimism for 2009. If fact I think it would do many of us good to turn off the television and the negative banter and focus on all the positive things happening around us. Call me an eternal optimist or a fool I don't care.
When I look around I see we are living in one of the most exciting times in history. I see people pulling together to work on our environment, we have access to more information and more resources than any generation before us, we can communicate with people on the other side of the globe in seconds just to name a few. If you have a hard time thinking of positive things than you may need to re-evaluate what you are putting into your brain.
Remember happiness is really just about how you perceive the world. You can choose to be happy or choose not to be happy.Make it your goal to focus on good things and be happy in 2009. I challenge you to start each day on a positive note. Turn off the morning news and check out one of these positive news sites instead. It's what I do and I find life is much sweeter focusing on the positive instead of dwelling on the negative.
