What a joy it was to spend time with this beautifully energetic couple. Olga and Michael’s love story is glorious and touching. They are both Russian immigrants who came half way around the globe to meet each other. Upon their first meeting there was an immediate connection but Olga had a boyfriend and Michael respected that she was taken and left with his heart pining for her.
Fast forward to a year later and upon another chance meeting Michael learns that Olga is now single and going to school at UT to which he is also now a student. He is new on campus and decides this gives him a good excuse to call her and asked her to show him around. Well, the rest is history. They have been together ever since.
Their wedding took place at historic The Hotel Galvez in Galveston, Texas a beautiful property rich in history with a gorgeous outdoor wedding garden and indoor reception venue.
This was a destination wedding for Michael and Olga as they now reside in Chicago. They had guests in attendance from all over the US and a few family members made the long trip from Russia to witness their union.
Michael and Olga planned to see each other prior to the ceremony which allowed us capture many great portraits with them, the bridal party and family. At the start of the day we jumped across the Galveston Seawall and did a quick portrait session with Olga and Michael that rendered some great shots. I am absolutely in love with this shot that we did in thier casual clothes prior to the ceremony.Make sure to check out the slideshow to see more of Olga & Michael's images.
